RockTheCapital.org (RTC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan voter education organization formed July 2005 in response to the possibly illegal, definitely self-serving, and arrogant actions of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
To RTC and others, the pay raise in the wee small hours of July 2005 was simply the last straw in a LONG string of abuses foisted upon the citizens of this Commonwealth by those elected to 'serve'.
RTC joined a coalition of like-minded groups and individuals to show the citizens of Pennsylvania that we did not have to accept 'business as usual' anymore. There was and IS something we can do to stop our so-called public servants from serving mostly themselves.
We must remain vigilant, educate ourselves, and participate. This is OUR government and, since it has become painfully apparent that those responsible for representing us are in some cases far from responsible, WE must be responsible.
RTC intends to be around until pigs fly or the government of this
Commonwealth becomes responsive/responsible to its citizens -
frankly we think pigs will fly before the other happens.
