Dear Representative Gerber / Mike:
As a Pennsylvania taxpayer and small business person in your district, consider me officially appalled and stupefied (the latter defined as being state of mental numbness resulting from shock) at the level of personal entitlement my State legislature seems to maintain. The stories that keep coming out of Harrisburg are just amazing.
It is really hard some days to wrap my mind around my State legislature's lack of accountability to PA taxpayers (and corresponding massive attention paid to their own well being, records secrecy, and stress free living) --- unconstitutional pay raises, questionable bonuses, PHEAAshing trips, unbridled nepotism, the bureaucracy and fortification of records secrecy and related internal legal maneuvering, and now unnecessary policy polling. Oh yeah, don't forget the impending cozy home Fumonomics tab?
Seems my State legislature is racking up quite a record of taxpayer-funded frivolity and fraternity. Sorry if this seems too harsh, but I truly do think that some of the folks making such questionable policy, operational and spending decisions would be better suited to running a fraternity house rather than my State legislature.
I beg you, in the name of common sense and accountability, with whatever energy and political capital you have, please continue to work toward sanitizing Harrisburg's act.
Thanks for your consideration.
